Long Island Bike Challenge

Mission Statement

2024

BIKES BATTLE CANCER

The Long Island Bike Challenge (LIBC) conducts an annual charity bike ride that inspires dedicated cyclists to ride across Long Island with the goal being to raise funds to prevent and cure cancer. Since 2012 the LIBC has raised and gifted over $540,000. The LIBC directs 100% of all rider-raised donations to support advanced medical research conducted at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, the research arm of the Northwell Health System.

Who we are

The LIBC is comprised of a dedicated group of committed cyclists willing to endure both the physical and psychological challenges of training for and completing a bike ride across Long Island, and securing donations from their individual supporters. The LIBC also combines support from dedicated volunteers, corporate sponsors, and individual contributors. All are essential to the LIBC goal and model: to attain maximum fundraising efficiency while increasing its annual gift. Our hope and aspiration every year is to provide Feinstein/Northwell Health System physicians and researchers with the necessary resources to discover prevention, treatment, and cures for cancer.

The Long Island Bike Challenge is a registered 501c3 - an approved public charity as determined by the Internal Revenue Service.  For additional information please contact Founder and Director Edward Diller directly at 516-606-4272, or Edward@lichallenge.org.   Donations can be made online at https://www.lichallenge.org/ or by check to Long Island Bike Challenge and mailed to 1366 Odell Street, Wantagh, NY 11793.
