Fundraising 2025

When you commit to riding in the LIBC you are also taking on the challenge and commitment to raise money AND do a long distance bike ride to battle cancer.  All riders must do their fair share and secure donations. It is very important. Riders need to inform their individual sponsors to support them.

Download a sample letter to use - modify as you see fit. Click - Sample letter Cancer

Please ask for donations starting now.  Use, Email, Text messages, social media, etc., to your network of supporters; Friends, family, work colleagues, etc.  They will support you when you inform them why you riding and ask them to donate - We hope many riders will not only achieve but surpass the $600 goal!

Key Fundraising Tips:

- Tell Your Story: Why I am riding in the LIBC
Do you ride in honor of or in memory of a family member or friends? Are you a cancer survivor? Help donors understand why you've made a commitment to ride and fundraise.

- Add Photos: Give donors visual context. Include photos of yourself, for whom you ride, take pictures when training.

- Highlight the fact that 100 percent of all rider-raised dollars go directly to the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, the research arm of the Northwell Health System. Make sure your donors know and understand that each dollar they donate reaches the scientist/researchers at Feinstein and it does make a difference.
